Hi fellas...Good day to all..I'm just done reading a romance novel by the renowned author Durjoy Datta titled" The girl of my dreams"..I have no idea if I'm qualified enough to write reviews but that doesnt stop me from pouring out every single thought that comes to my mind after reading this novel...Something that makes this work protrude from other romantic writings is obviously the unique approach of the author!!This story unlike the usual cheesy stuff takes a sharp turn that got no resemblances to the garden-variety love we dream of...Although people do appreciate cheesy love stories, this is something that makes u realize "how dangerously little you know about love"...Most of the stories be it in novels or movies usually starts of uneventfully and later gathers momentum..Initially u won't find them gripping but they interests you towards the end..."The girl of my dreams" on the contrary side takes u on a roller-coaster ride right from the beginning towards the end in a way that u can't keep the book down once u commence the reading process....Strange things happen every now and then...The story opens with the hero named Daman who wakes up from a nightmare related to an accident that occurred to him in the past...Daman is with a beautiful girl named Shreyasi in a car when the unfortunate event happens killing the girl...All he remembers is a hazy face,her hypnotic eyes and her name...Later on Daman weaves his nightmares to a beautiful story portraying him and Shreyasi which transformed into a hugely popular blog...When he got an opportunity to bring out his book ,he had to sacrifice the real shreyasi for a fake one which was supposedly his editor's creation..The subsequent events turned out to be a chain of horrible disasters!!! The entire story spins around Daman,Shreyasi and Daman's girlfriend, Avni...The sequence of events in the story can be quite confusing at times and mostly the unexpected occurs...!! Another equally striking feature of this work is that it leaves u with no hints on how the story is planning to proceed...I recommend this book to all readers out there who are looking forward to romantic thrillers and not the usual sugary love stories!!!
